The Edge

How we're different
Most of what separates one firm from another in this category is not the work. It is what the work leaves behind. Read enough of our peers' own pages and the shape is consistent: a diagnosis, an implementation, and then an ongoing relationship. We are built for the opposite ending. The standard goes into your operations, your own people are certified to carry it, and the engagement is scoped to finish.
What the category publishes
Support that is designed to continue
Ongoing advisory and implementation support, offered on a retainer, in commitments measured in years. It is a legitimate model and it is the common one. It also means the arrangement works best when you still need it.
Training that happens off your floor
Certificates, workshops and master-trainer courses your people attend, taught on the provider's material. Your team comes back qualified in someone else's method, and the translation to your operations is left to them.
Follow-through handed back to you
The commitment asked of the client is usually stated plainly: keep following through with your team. That is fair. It also means the standard holds for exactly as long as somebody keeps pushing it.
What we do instead
The test is what is still running after we leave.
Not what got installed, and not how the launch went. Six months after the last of us is off your floor, does the business still run the standard — in the locations you never visit, under the managers you have not hired yet? That is the only question this firm is built to pass, and it is the reason the engagement has an end date in it.
The standard lives in your operations, not in a person
Written into the work in the order it actually happens, so the answer does not walk out when your longest-serving manager does. Your next manager picks it up and runs it.
Your operators are certified, on your standard, in your locations
We train the trainers you already trust, on the material we built with you, on your floor. They are watched doing it and certified once they can. Nobody comes back from a course holding a method that has to be translated.
It is scored, so holding is a fact and not an opinion
Every location scored on the same marks up front, and scored again on the same instrument later. A change in the number is a change in your operations rather than a change in the ruler — which is also how you audit us.
The engagement is built to end
Diagnose, set the standard, build, train, run the cadence, prove it moved, hand it back. The seventh step is the point of the first six. We would rather be re-hired for your next chain than retained for this one.
What it is worth
Your P&L should be better off after we have gone.
Not during. After. A standard that only pays while the firm is in the building is a cost with good manners. This one is meant to keep paying once the invoices stop — which is why what we hand over is a system your own people run, and why we score it before and after rather than describing how it went.
Our operators have built and run systems inside these organisations — enterprise work, by the people on the bench, not retail installs by the firm.
Let's Talk.
If you want to see where your standard actually lives before you talk to anybody, The Operating Audit is eighteen marks and about five minutes. If you would rather just ask us something, this reaches us directly.
